Job Search Skills Workshops

Our workshops are designed to help you build a resume that emphasizes your accomplishments, develop interview and networking skills and to effectively use social media. Help with resumes is available to attendees at the end of every workshop.

Building the Foundation for a Successful Job Search
Topics include: Dealing with the emotional side of job loss, developing your job search plan, identifying your transferable skills, strengths and accomplishments, creating your 30 Second commercial and your C.A.R (Challenge, Action, Result) stories.

Resume Writing Workshop and Clinic
Topics include: Crafting a strong resume summary and conveying your competitive advantage by using  C.A.R. (Challenge, Action, Result) stories.

Job Interview Workshop and Mock Interview
Topics include: Answering the tough questions and communicating your value to convince the interviewer that you are the best candidate for the job.  Attendees will also practice answering job interview questions.

Networking
Topics include:  Using networking techniques, tools and resources to increase your visibility and uncover the hidden job market.  We will also help you with your 30 Second commercial.

LinkedIn
Topics include: Creating a strong LinkedIn profile and using LinkedIn searches to find people, companies and jobs.
